Mr. Oberlander is an experienced litigator and advocates strenuously for his clients. He prides himself on the representation he provides his clients.
He skillfully analyzes each client"s case and develops a successful approach to achieve the desired result, whether he is arguing for the dismissal of his client"s criminal
charges, defending tenants in eviction proceedings or advising businesses on contractual matters.
Since forming Gonzalez Oberlander & Holohan LLP, Mr. Oberlander has focused primarily on criminal defense representation, criminal and civil investigations, landlord/tenant
disputes, and commercial and residential real estate issues. Mr. Oberlander also advises business owners on issues ranging from formation, contractual agreements and
litigation. Mr. Oberlander specializes in complex criminal defense litigation and relies on his fifteen years of investigative and legal experience to defend his clients
accused of these charges.
Prior to forming Gonzalez Oberlander & Holohan LLP, Mr. Oberlander was an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx District Attorney"s Office. Mr. Oberlander gained
significant investigative and trial experience in the Criminal Court, Grand Jury, and Investigations Bureaus.
During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, he prosecuted hundreds of misdemeanors and felonies, ranging from simple assault to complex economic theft. As an
Assistant in the prestigious Investigations Bureau, he prosecuted a wide range of White Collar, Arson and Insurance related crimes.
Mr. Oberlander began his career as an investigator with the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem. Mr. Oberlander continued honing his investigative skills with Kroll
Associates, a multi-national white collar investigative company. At Kroll, Mr. Oberlander managed a team of investigators.
Mr. Oberlander received his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He spent his final year at New York Law School, where he mediated Small Claims disputes
in the New York County Small Claims Court. Mr. Oberlander is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of
New York and the New York County Lawyers" Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University. Mr. Oberlander has lectured on the subject of
fraud in the construction industry at Pratt University and the Greater New York Construction User Council.
